What does RME exactly do?
RME Medical partners with a strong network of independent physicians who carry strong beliefs towards Veterans Disability rights. We help Veterans obtain rapid, comprehensive medical evaluations and ensure their conditions are properly documented, avoiding misdiagnoses. RME Medical is not a Veterans Service Organization or law firm and is not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
How does the VA Disability Rating Work?
VA disability ratings measure how much a service-connected condition impacts a Veteran’s ability to function. Each condition is assigned a percentage from 0–100% in 10% increments, based on severity. Multiple ratings are combined using VA math—not simple addition—to determine the overall rating. This final rating determines the monthly benefit amount and access to additional VA programs.
Do you guarantee VA Disabiliy increases through your services?
The Department of Veterans Affairs makes the final determination on all submitted claims. Our role is to connect you with qualified, independent medical professionals who provide detailed, accurate, and comprehensive DBQs to document your condition. High-quality DBQs contribute to stronger claim submissions and help reduce stress for you and your family.

Medical Examinations
What's the difference between RME Medicals Physicians from VA and Primary Care Physicians?
Unlike personal primary care doctors, who often lack the expertise to complete VA Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs), and VA-appointed providers, who may face high patient volumes leading to rushed exams, RME Medical works with independent, licensed physicians experienced in the VA claims process. Our providers understand VA regulations and the Rating Schedule, ensuring thorough, accurate medical evidence that properly documents the severity of a Veteran’s condition.
Who and how is my medical examination scheduled?
RME Medical will assess your situation and decide whether your appointment is available via telehealth or in-person with one of our physicians, close to you. Details will be sent directly to you for scheduling.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Nothing, all paperwork and medical records will be collected during the intake process, and forwarded to the physician.
Submitting a Claim
Does RME Medical process my DBQ to the VA?
No. We provide Veterans with accurate and thorough medical evidence, but submission to the VA must be completed independently by the Veteran or by an authorized representative acting on their behalf.
Is working with RME Medical and an accredited agent/attorney possible?
Yes. RME Medical connects Veterans with qualified medical professionals to obtain accurate medical evidence, while accredited agents and attorneys handle filing and any additional documentation required for your claim. Since agents and attorneys cannot provide medical advice or complete Disability Benefit Questionnaires, our services complement theirs without conflict.
If my Intent-to-File is expiring soon, is there an expedited process?
We can provide an expedited process for Veterans facing an imminent deadline. However, each case is unique, and we cannot guarantee that the deadline can be met. If you require urgent assistance, please contact us immediately or email us at support@RMEmedical.com to evaluate your options.
